• Biography

  Apollo was once a young boy who lived in a small town with his huge family, consisting of six children. Apollo was the third child to be conceived, neither being the oldest or the youngest. Apollo was part of a family that consisted of farmers, but that's not what he wanted to become. Apollo had aspirations to explore the world, but he didn't think he'd be able to do it, so he continued on the farm. It would have been an unremarkable life for him, if it wasn't for one particularly harsh winter. He was out in the forest collecting seeds and plants before a snowstorm brewed up. Apollo tried to make it back to the farm, but he couldn't find his way. He was lost, and the cold began to get to him, and Apollo thought he was going to die. He eventually succumbed to the cold. When he woke up, he was surprised to not be dead, and in a cave with a fire nonetheless. Across the fire, was a wolf with leather armor sleeping peacefully. Many questions swirled in his head. Who created the fire? Who was this wolf? Who saved him? Why was that wolf wearing armor? He was too tired to think of answers, and let sleep take him. The next day, the storm raged on, and Apollo knew it was going to be a long winter. Knowing that he would have no choice but to take refuge here to survive the winter, he cooperates with the wolf. To be more accurate, he remained as a patient house guest, as he wouldn't last long in the winter with his plain farm clothes. A few weeks into the winter were unrventful, but he was able to answer some of the questions he had. The only possibility that existed about his savior was the wolf, as no one has shown to take ownership over the wolf. He also learned that the wolf started the fire, collecting sticks and grabbing a rock with his mouth and banging it against the floor to create sparks. Apollo was surprised at learning about this from the wolf. Typically, animals like it were just wild and instinctual, never displaying this much intelligence. One day, Apollo asked the wolf if he had a name out of the blue. The wolf didn't answer at first, but to Apollo, it seemed as if he was pondering the answer. A few days later, the wolf scratched a name onto the ground: Fenrir. It is that moment when Apollo actually created a friendship with the wolf. The winter raged on, and their strange routine continued. Then, near winter's end, in the middle of night, a feral wolf entered the cave. It lunged towards Apollo, but Fenrir interfered and entered into a fight. Fenrir was injured after he jumped to protect Apollo, and was at a disadvantage. However, before the feral wolf could bring great harm to Fenrir, Apollo bashed its head in with a rock while it was distracted. Apollo quickly braved the cold and found an herbal plant that was still able to grow, and created a remedy to cure Fenrir's injuries. The feral wolf was used as food and Apollo fashioned a cloak out of it. Winter ended, and Fenrir was nowhere to be found. Saddened, Apollo made his way back, greeted happily by his family. But, Apollo changed greatly. Two weeks later, deciding that life is too short to worry about what-ifs, he packed and prepared for a nomadic life, wanting to see everything. He told this to his family, before they reluctantly let him leave. Before he could take off from the town, Fenrir showed up. Overjoyed at seeing his friend again, both set off for an adventure of a lifetime.
  
  How he acquired Optimism's View:
  During the first few weeks of adventure, he ran into an old man. The old man took him in, as the road has taken a bit of a toll on Apollo. There is where he finds a huge collection of bows. He learned that the old man was a renowned ranger when he was younger, and all these bows were handcrafted by him. Struck in awe, Apollo begged the old man to teach him archery, to which he agreed to. For a year, under the stranger's tutelage, he became adept at archery. he created the bow, which he dubbed Optimism's View. He left shortly after, forever in the man's debt due to his generosity.
  
  How he lost his eye:
  Poachers. One day while in a village, poachers came through and took interest in Fenrir. Despite Apollo's firm refusals, they kidnapped him in the middle of night. Apollo located the camp and angrily attacked them, many dying. He eventually finds Fenrir, battered and worn out. Behind him, one of the poachers snuck up on him with a knife. He turned around impaled him with the sword, the poacher stabbed him in the eye. Pushing through the pain, he escaped the camp and got treatment for both Fenrir and his eye. He donned a eyepatch, and has worn it ever since
